Madison Park – Backflow Valve Inspections – City of Raleigh
Many of you may have already received a letter from the City of Raleigh Water indicating that the backflow valves at your homes must be inspected at least one every 3 years to be sure they are operating properly. A couple of neighbors have already taken action with outside services. I have been given 2 recommendations for companies that can perform this type of service as this is not something that Coats (the Association Landscaping Contractor) can do. The names and numbers below are listed for your reference:

H&H actually installed a number of the backflows in the neighborhood when it was under construction. If he does them one at a time, the charge is $100 for each irrigation system valve. If he does 5 valves at the same time, the cost is $75/valve. (The Association will use this contractor since there are 7 to do)

Phone 919-779-9285 – Their charge is $85.00 per backflow valve – they were not interested in negotiating a better price for multiple valves.
The notification for the Madison Park Association has already been received from the City and we must have this done before June 1 so if you have not received the notification, you should get it soon. Note: The City has a long list of recommended companies that can do the inspection if you do not want to use the ones mentioned above.
We will try to post the dates that H&H will be here to do the main neighborhood and the Parkhome backflows and perhaps the neighborhood can be coordinated to provide the best discount for all.
